Rich Dunk, a rapper from Charlotte-NC has long been affiliated with superstar DaBaby. The two grew up together in the Queen City. Together they chased their dreams of becoming successful in the music industry. While DaBaby was more aggressive with marketing tactics, leading to his ultimate success, both stayed down for their ultimate goals. According to the song, “Today,” it was simply to get out the street. After DaBaby’s great success, it was only a matter of time before he set up his team to win. Fresh off the Stunna 4 Vegas deal, Rich Dunk officially signed to DaBaby’s Billion Dollar Baby record label.
Of course, inking a deal with Hip-hop label has traditional chain giving ceremony. Ever since Rocafella Records boss Dame Dash passed their label’s logo necklace to artists in the early 2000s, everyone else has followed suit. Billion Dollar Baby continues the tradition as label CEO DaBaby greeted Rich Dunk with his official chain.
Rich Dunk Officially Signed To DaBaby
“It’s official #bdbent we really running shyt🔥🚀 my boy @dababy A1 #hawaii,” wrote Dunk on a video of his new necklace.
After the close up video, the ‘Today’ rappers shared a video of the moment he received his Billion Dollar Baby necklace.
He captioned the instagram video, “Dis how it happened #bdbent LETS GET DIS MONEY @dababy 💯💯.”
Rich Dunk Signed To DaBaby in Hawaii
In the actual video, DaBaby greets Rich Dunk outside of their hotel. The two were in Hawaii for a major concert event, which the BDB label was headlining. DaBaby and his brother, co-owner of the label, open jewelry box revealing a Billion Dollar Baby diamond necklace & pendant.
“Aye Dunk, welcome to BDB E-N-T n–ga,” says DaBaby to his brother before handing over the jewels. The budding Hip-Hop mogul then continues, “Gang! — Gang!.”
The ceremony was simple but the ‘love’ between these two rappers was obvious. Labelmate Stunna 4 Vegas was also on-hand, watching the BDB necklace passing from the background.
North Carolina Rappers
Billion Dollar Baby entertainment is a unique record label, when you realize the roster. The Hip-Hop label only has North Carolina rappers thus far and no sights of changing. DaBaby himself and Rich Dunk are from the state’s capital city, Charlotte. Upcoming rapper 704 Chop is also from the ‘Buzz City.’ Lastly, ‘Double Ds’ rapper Stunna 4 Vegas is from a smaller city called Salisbury.’
On the south-side of the Carolina, BDB Entertainment affiliate heavily with rapper Blacc Zacc of Columbia-SC. Stunna is currently on tour with him across the United States.
