The new faces of Kodak are some of the hottest artists on the hip hop scene. Last night in New York City Trey Songz and Drake hit the stage to celebrate the launch of the “So Kodak” campaign. Trey Songz, Drake, Rihanna, and Pitbull are already all over the TV screen snapping pictures on the new Kodak commercials. Last night, Trey and Drake were seen walking down the red carpet with the Kodak executives.

When asked why he chose to join the Kodak campaign, Drake told BET.com, “Kodak being the brand that they are, it’s a very timeless staple brand in the film and camera department for years. When I heard that they were trying to make the switch and launch the EasyShare digital camera, I saw myself fitting into that. I saw the branding opportunity. Being part of this generation, my career almost being based on this technological generation, I figured I could lend a helping hand.”

Trey on the other hand seemed to like the features of the Kodak Easyshare and thought it would be great for his business. He utilized social outlets like Twitter.com and Youtube.com and he thought that the Kodak software would help him reach out to his fans instantly.

Pit Bull was unable to perform because of a broken hand. However he still shared a few thoughts on the campaign.

“When I read what they were trying to do and how they’re trying to do it and how they’re trying to connect the artists and how they wanted to let the artists be themselves with the So Kodak campaign, I was like ‘I definitely wanna be involved’.”
