Soulja Boy Aims At Drake Again: “Stay in Canada”
Soulja Boy whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way has taken yet another aim at Drake after dissing him on X earlier this year writing “Time to disappear, PS Drake u went out sad.”
He went out on another scathing rant during an Instagram livestream and took some more shots at Drizzy over the weekend.
In the video, Soulja said, “Drake, you a bitch, boy,” “You can’t even come to America and talk to the president, fuck boy. Stay in Canada, where your bitch belongs at.”
This remark stirred up due to the jabs thrown at him from Drake’s fans, referencing the criticisms he’s facing on social media for agreeing to perform at Trump’s crypto ball.
He addressed the criticism he got for performing (alongside Snoop and Rick Ross) at the crypto ball held in honor of Trump’s return to the white house.
“They paid me a bag. Obama ain’t never put no money in my f–king pockets, n—a. Kamala ain’t never put no money in my f–king pockets, n—a. Trump put money in my pockets, n—a.” He stated adding continuously that he’ll do it again.
He then went on to comment over Drake’s defamation complaint against Universal Music Group regarding the purportedly fabricated exaggeration of Kendrick Lamar’s diss hit “Not Like Us.”
“Y’all the type of people that lose a rap battle and sue a n—a. I’m a real gangsta, bruh. I could never sue a n—a.” He added.
Drake’s Lawsuit
Drake who is yet to reply to Soulja Boy’s diss, filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG) for defamation over competitor Kendrick Lamar’s diss single “Not Like Us.”
The case, submitted on January 15 to a federal court in New York City, claims that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s parent label, UMG, released and advertised the song knowing it contained false accusations of pedophilia against Drake and advised fans to pursue vigilante justice.
The lawsuit which doesn’t include Kendrick Lamar, claims that Drake’s reputation suffered and his brand’s worth dropped before his contract renegotiation with UMG this year.
It stated that the dropped brand worth was a result of intruders shooting a security guard and two attempted break-ins at his Toronto residence, as well as hate mail and online harassment.
In a recent statement, UMG disputed the lawsuit’s claims saying “None of these are true and the idea that we would try to damage the reputation of any artist, let alone Drake, is irrational.”
“We have made significant investments in his music, and our staff members worldwide have dedicated countless hours over many years to assist him in attaining unprecedented financial success on both a personal and commercial level.” They added.
The company added, “Throughout his career, Drake has intentionally and successfully used UMG to distribute his music and poetry to engage in conventionally outrageous back-and-forth ‘rap battles’ to express his feelings about other artists.”
