The Game Steps In To Assist Victims of Los Angeles Wildfire
The wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles County is no longer news. This out-of-control wildfire has ripped across parts of Los Angeles, claiming lives and properties.
People have been forced to abandon their homes as a result of the fires that have now left behind an apocalyptic scene.
Jayceon Terrell Taylor, an L.A artist, popularly known as The Game, has proven his loyalty to his hometown.
The rapper took to his Instagram page on January 9, to offer as much help as he can.
Thousands of people had to abandon their homes without knowing where to go. Luckily, the Game has come to their rescue. Putting his wealth to good use, the L.A rapper has offered to help some of the local families.
He proposed to cover the cost of Airbnb for ten families who have been forced to evacuate their homes.
His Instagram post read, “Me and @travforthestars are helping ten families effected [sic] by the fires here get into @airbnb for a week free of charge. Have the head of your household Dm @travforthestars now for more details.”
To ensure that this assistance reaches those who are truly affected, he added that identification must be provided.
Several Displaced as Thousands of Acres Ravaged By Fire
This ferocious wildfire began on Tuesday, January 7, triggered by powerful winds and dry conditions. A total of ten deaths have been recorded and over a hundred thousand people displaced.
Emergency services are struggling to control the fires due to depleted resources and dwindling water supplies. Over 27,000 acres of land have been ravaged by the fires.
This devastating wildfire has become one of the most catastrophic in the history of Los Angeles. Over 2,000 structures have been destroyed, and the estimated financial damage is over $10 billion.
Amidst the cataclysmic wildfires, celebrities have sent their heartfelt messages on social media. “This is just sad,” The Game stated.
“Los Angeles is really hurting right now. If you are anywhere near fires. Please pack what’s necessary & evacuate immediately. I have many friends, neighbors & people I know that have lost everything.”
He also added that his home and those around it are in extreme danger as a result of the fires.
Snoop Dogg, another native of California, also reacted to the unfortunate news via social media. Posting a photo on his Instagram page, he said, “Pray for Los Angeles. Lord, deliver the City of Angels”
Other celebrities like Missy Elliott and Meek Mill also sent their prayers to the victims of the wildfire incident via their Instagram stories and X page respectively.
