Born Jacques Webster II in Houston, Texas, Travis Scott has grown to become one of the most significant and versatile artists of his time.

Scott’s career has been exceedingly remarkable, from his beginnings as a rapper and producer to his influence on pop culture and design.

He worked with various musicians and producers in his early career, and after receiving critical acclaim for his mixtapes, particularly Owl Pharaoh (2013) and Days Before Rodeo (2014), he began to garner prominence.

His unique sound, which included psychedelic, ambient, and hip-hop elements, was on display in these endeavors.

Scott gained a devoted fan base fast because of his rich voice, moody production, and catchy hooks, establishing himself as a performer to keep an eye on.

Rodeo, Travis Scott’s debut studio album, was a critical and commercial success when it was released in 2015.

Hits from the album included “Antidote,” “3500,” and the number-one single “Pick Up the Phone,” which was a joint effort with Quavo and Young Thug.

The turning point in Travis Scott’s career would be his third studio album, Astroworld (2018), a thematic album named after a now-closed amusement park in Houston.

Astroworld explored themes of stardom, addiction, and introspection while simultaneously celebrating the nostalgia of childhood.

Hit songs such as “SICKO MODE,” “STOP TRYING TO BE GOD,” and “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” became anthems for a new generation.

The album went on to receive critical acclaim for its genre-bending and boundary-pushing production.

Scott’s New Single

Despite not putting out a new album, he had one of the most successful first weeks of 2025 with his DAYS BEFORE RODEO mixtape.

With the highly anticipated new track, fans are excited to see what Travis Scott’s ever-evolving musical career will bring next.

Travis Scott’s “4×4” may be the most anticipated release of the week after teasing the cut aboard WWE’s “Raw.”

He also debuted it with a live performance atop Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium at Monday’s College Football Playoffs (January 20).

Travis Scott takes on solo vocal duties here, although he has previously been criticized for depending too much on features to support his tracks.

Tay Keith produced the bass-heavy new tune, which will be released as a charity single to help communities in Los Angeles County cope with the devastating effects of the disasters.

Direct Relief’s California Wildfire Response Fund will receive all earnings from the “4×4”-led bundle and product collection sales.
