Jay-Z is retaliating against Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee, the attorney who was representing a Jane Doe in the alleged rape case filed in December.

After the lawsuit against him and Sean “Diddy” Combs for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl was dismissed, the 55-year-old rapper filed a lawsuit against the attorney.

Jay Z said in his complaint, which was filed in Los Angeles on Monday, that the lawyer purposefully caused him “emotional distress” by initiating the case.

Additionally, he asserts that the attorney is preparing a purposeful effort to obtain money through baseless charges.

According to court filings this week that TMZ was able to get, the attorney wrote the rapper two demand letters in December 2024.

One about the 13-year-old Jane Doe alleged rape case that’s been dropped, and the other about another anonymous individual who claimed that after being unintentionally drugged by someone else at a party in Beverly Hills in 2015, he was sexually attacked by Jay-Z.

Jay Z’s lawsuit added that Buzbee purposefully filed the lawsuit on the eve of his daughter Blue Ivy’s Mufasa: The Lion King film premiere.

It states that it was done “to put me in the position of having to choose between supporting my daughter or hiding to avoid the negative press.”

Jay-Z goes on to say that since Buzbee added his name to the case in December 2024, he has been going through a lot of “mental anguish” and have lost $20 million in contracts due to the false allegations.

The rapper claimed in the declaration, “I felt that Mr. Buzbee was placing a gun to my head that I either bow to his demands or endure personal and financial ruin.”

The Dropped Sexual Assualt Case

Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z were charged in the lawsuit for drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000, in October 2024.

The accuser claimed that the assault took place at an after-party that took place after the MTV Video Music Awards.

The lawsuit, which had only Diddy’s name at the start of it, added Jay Z’s name in December 2024.

The trial, which never saw the appearance of the complaint, was dropped last Friday in New York after inconsistent stories from the accuser.

Even though the case has been withdrawn by Jane Doe’s attorney, the legal struggle is far from over, as Jay Z, on the other hand, appears determined to make sure a lawsuit like this never repeats itself.
