Rap heavyweight Kendrick Lamar had a big night at the 67th Grammy Awards, taking home five trophies, including two in the “Big Four” categories.

Kendrick made history with his single “Not Like Us,” which was a diss track to Drake during the height of their rap feud back in 2024.

The single won all five of the categories for which it was nominated; the song won Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video.

“Not Like Us” winning the Record of the Year makes it the second hip-hop single to ever win. “This Is America” by Childish Gambino was the first.

With 57 nominations and 22 wins over his career, the Compton MC is one of the most awarded rap artists in the show’s history.

Kendrick’s total of 22 Grammys now keeps him two behind Kanye West, who has 24, and three behind Jay Z (25) who also broke his tie with Kanye last night, from being the most awarded.

Critics declared him the winner in the long-running, intense rap feud with Drake, following the success of his Grammy-nominated diss track “Not Like Us” and his electrifying “The Pop Out” concert on Juneteenth in Los Angeles.

What More Is In For Kendrick Lamar?

After being nominated for seven Grammys in five different categories and winning all five categories, one would think Kendrick has had enough triumphs.

However, the “Not Like Us” rapper’s wins doesn’t end there. The NFL revealed in the fall that he will be the main act at the halftime show at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, which is in one week.

Kendrick Lamar’s appearance is certainly historic as he becomes the first solo rap artist to headline the Super Bowl.

Fans believe this will be a preview of their upcoming tour, as he’s added SZA, his former labelmate from Top Dawg Entertainment, to the bill.

The Grand National Tour will stop in 19 stadiums throughout North America and will be presented by Top Dawg Entertainment, pgLang, and Live Nation.

Additionally, he unexpectedly released “GNX,” his sixth studio album, in November. It featured hits like “Wacced Out Murals,” “Squabble Up,” and “TV Off.”

If these hits get nominated and Lamar’s triumph continues at this rate, who knows, he might become the most-awarded rapper of his generation sooner than we think.
