In a recent interview with GQ published on Feb 28, A$AP Rocky revealed more about his upcoming album.

A$AP Rocky’s fans have been waiting a long time for his new album, “Don’t Be Dumb.”.

Despite many updates, the album’s release date remains unknown, leaving fans waiting.

Rocky discussed his fans’ growing anticipation for the album with GQ. He noted that he’s eager to release the album he has poured his heart into.

“I’m in the mixing and mastering realm of it, but I think quite frankly, people are tired of hearing about updates about the album,” he stated.

“They’re just ready to get this shit, you know what I’m saying? I don’t think anybody wants to hear where I’m at with it, how far is it along and all that. They just want to hear some shit just to see where I’m at, and I promise I got some new shit in store.I’m challenging myself. It’s like anything, l approach it with a different tactic, degree, or finesse,” he added.

He also added, “The album’s done. I just want to drop it. I don’t want to keep saying what I’m going to do and I want to give people what I’ve been promising them for a long-ass fucking time.”

The album was first set to release on August 30 but got delayed and still hasn’t come out. Rocky has had a tough time lately, as he recently finished his assault court case.

“Don’t Be Dumb” will be A$AP Rocky’s first album in six years, following “Testing” in 2018.

Life After Trial

A$AP Rocky’s trial for allegedly shooting A$AP Relli began January 24 and ended February 14.

The jury reached a not-guilty verdict on February 18 after deliberating for about three hours.

Regarding life after trial, the Harlem rapper is relieved and grateful for his newfound freedom.

“I feel blessed. I feel so lucky to even be here talking to you in Milan at a launch for my Ray-Ban creative directorship. Honestly I do, man,” he said.

He also added, “You know, feeling like there was a chance that your freedom would be taken away from you, and then like a week later to be launching your creative direction announcement in Milan, Italy.”

Just days after the verdict, Ray-Ban announced A$AP Rocky as their new creative director. This announcement was made in a press release on Friday, February 21.

His role involves designing new Ray-Ban sunglasses, including revamping some of their signature frames.

The new “Blacked Out” collection, designed by A$AP Rocky, includes gold details and very dark lenses, available in April.

Following his court victory, A$AP Rocky also landed a role in a new Spike Lee movie. He will star alongside Denzel Washington in the film, titled “Highest to Lowest.”.

Furthermore, Rocky is once again moving forward with his plans to buy a stake in Tranmere Rovers, a UK soccer club.
