Charlotte Rapper DaBaby Strung Up in Hotel, Soon to Be Cut by Chainsaw like Tony Montana in Scarface Movie

When the rapper DaBaby, formerly known as “Baby Jesus, hit the internet in a viral buzz nobody thought he would be as big as he was. At first, he was seen as a gimmick for just wearing a diaper and rapping. However, little did they know, it was art of his genius marketing idea to begin branding his face into the Hip-Hop world’s brain.

Fast forward a few years to 2019, DaBaby is the hottest rapper out. He’s even become bigger than a rapper who had a similar name, Lil Baby. The two are from southern cities that are just a few hours apart however, and the distance wasn’t enough to keep them from bumping into each other. The results of that meet up, a ‘Baby’ rap song.

The single has been buzzing a while and yesterday, August 13th, the official music video was released. Directed and edited by visual artists ‘DAPS,’ it can almost been seen a continuing of the rap video ‘Carpet Burn’ by DaBaby.

In this visual, the ‘Hip-Hop Babies’ recapture the Urban classic, Scarface. They remix the scene of where Tony Montana meets his plug, while working as a minimum wage restaurant employee. From there, DaBaby and Lil Baby go to make a play at a hotel, where ‘Mr Thank It Aint On Me” ends up beaten and roped up. Their 3rd partner in the ride gets killed and cut with a chainsaw.

Of course, the “Baby” video ends with the Atlanta-Charlotte team winning however. The stars dying in a film would make no sense. Just as in the film Scarface, Lil Baby leaves his car to check on his partner Dababy as “Manny” did for Tony. He find Lil Baby in a tight situation and ‘dumps’ on their enemies, terminating the competition.
