AI Boom creating more job opportunities in places like central Washington

Artificial Intelligence has been big in the recent past, but it’s even bigger in 2024. Tech companies are fast adopting the use of AI in their daily operations leading to a rise in the number of data centres.

This rise in data centres in cities has led to a surge in electricians in places like central Washington.

AI systems require extensive electrical coverage and maintenance to support their operations leading to increased employment opportunities.

According to statistics, there has been an increased number of data centers in the US in the last two years by at least 30%.

The data centres are also reported to consume 2% of the total electricity supply in the United States.

Furthermore, the need for AI related infrastructure in the US is expected to create another 9% of jobs by 2029.

Electricity is The Backbone of Any Technology

It might seem insignificant, but electricity remains a very big factor in the advancement of any form of technology.

Probably more than any other form of technology that came before it, AI needs a lot of electricity to cope up with the massive amounts of computing involved.

Electricians therefore flock regions like central Washington that still have some power to spare to address this growing demand.

There is huge traffic in central Washington specifically with substations reportedly extending to farms and orchards.

Electricians here are chasing overtime and bonuses, making them earn upto $3,000 after taxes.

This massive number of engineers and multi-billion dollar AI infrastructure is powered by a diverse workforce including former morticians, ex-NFL players, and eccentric engineers.

AI Is Creating Jobs And Changing Our Lifestyle

These data centers are not only beneficial to the tech industry but to the general economy as they create new jobs and also support local investments.

The influx of electricians in these tech dominated areas shows how critical power is to the advancement of artificial intelligence.

Latest developments in AI include training of chatbots to be able to generate images, clone voices, generate videos and even make music.

Chat gpt and Gemini are some of the latest models that have gained massive attention. These new AI models are shaping our lives, even changing our work routines.

It’s only good to adjust to stay with them because in the next few years to come, AI will reign supreme.
