Egyptian Car Shaped Boats Now a Global Export

These car-shaped boats, also known as “amphicars,” from Egypt are manufactured by Jetcar Kromh, a high-quality water car manufacturing company owned by Karim Amin.
The company, which was founded in 2015, focuses on delivering high-performance, eco-friendly water cars that combine technology, design, and sustainability.
Egyptian car-shaped boats are a fascinating fusion of nautical and automotive design, and they are frequently regarded as works of art rather than useful transportation.
They combine the aesthetics and functionality of automobiles and also have the ability to travel on water.
Jetcar Kromh has more than 200 happy customers and operates in more than 50 countries worldwide.
The company is said to have sold more than 500 cars to date, demonstrating dedication to excellence, creativity, and dependability.
“What began a few years ago as a modest initiative for a locally made car-shaped vehicle that can operate on water has now grown into a significant undertaking,” the company’s founder said.
“We export to 70 countries, the largest of which is America, Canada, and countries in Europe like Spain, France, Greece, and Cyprus,” he added.
These one-of-a-kind designs are more of a contemporary, whimsical take on boat design than they are historically or culturally significant in the conventional sense.
Features of a Car-Shaped Jetcar
A car-shaped jet car, just like the name implies, has a car-like upper body and superstructure with automotive styling.
It usually has a modified hull underneath the design, which is used for water displacement and stability of the jetcar.
Along with its reinforced fiberglass or composite construction, a jetcar has a water jet propulsion system.
The propulsion also has intakes that draw water in alongside powerful pumps that expel it and better maneuverability at higher speeds.
The steering wheels of these Jetcars are also automotive and connected to a marine steering mechanism.
The throttle control of the Jetcar is also similar to that of a car accelerator pedal, with waterproof headlights and taillights.
It has a car-styled windshield made with plexiglass, imitation wheels, side mirrors, and car-style seating.
It also has an automotive dashboard layout that is adapted for marine instruments and storage compartments similar to those of a trunk or boot.
It has the ability to safely traverse rough water at a higher speed than conversional boats and is generally faster than traditional boats its size.
The Jetcar comes with marine radio equipment, life jacket storage, a marine fire extinguisher, and marine standard navigation lights.
