Redman Comes Back With “Muddy Waters Too”

Redman releases new album “Muddy Waters Too” and its a complete masterpiece
Forget about the “Muddy Waters” that Redman dropped in the 90s, the rap veteran just released a sequel for the classic 1996 album.
In an Instagram post some few days ago, the funny rapper shared a teaser trailer for the project and promised to release it today Dec.24.
Well, true to his words, “Muddy Waters 2” is here with us and it’s a complete masterpiece.
With 32 tracks and a run time of over 80 minutes, Redman has done justice to this album, something most modern rappers wouldn’t even attempt.
This wasn’t an attention seeking project, it’s a fully packed album worth every single minute of your time.
Just from “Da F*** Goin’ On?,” the first track of the album to tracks like “Don’t You Miss,” Redman clearly still has the hunger of outdoing himself in every single project he touches.
The project which has been produced by a variety of producers like Erick Sermon, Rockwilder, and Redman himself has a touch of the 90s but still as new as 2025.
This latest album is the 9th in the career of the music icon who makes it to the top of the charts when he likes and disappears at will.
Generally, Redman has so far released three collaborative albums, one soundtrack album, five mixtapes, one EP and twenty eight singles.
Redman’s More Than 30 Years In the Music Industry
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Redman got into the industry as part of EPMD’s Hit Squad and quickly became a household name through projects like “Whut? Thee Album,” and his many collaborations with his friend Method Man.
He however cemented his portfolio as one of the industry’s best through the masterpiece “ Muddy Waters.”
The album was so fire that in 1997, it was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It also featured two of his Billboard’s hit singles namely: “Whateva Man” and “It’s Like That.”
“Muddy Waters” was without a doubt an album of the century, even critics had to put aside their bitterness and appreciate good music.
Almost 30 years later, Redman still remains himself, never conforming to the industry’s trends and drama whether he’s celebrated or dissed. A legend!
