Playboi Carti Dominates Charts With Unprecedented Hot 100 Achievement

Playboi Carti’s most recent album has been a massive success. “MUSIC,” the rapper’s latest project, made its debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart on March 29.

Physical editions are coming soon, with at least eight CD variants available for pre-order. Deluxe boxed sets containing branded merchandise have been available since September.

Historic Chart Domination

No rapper has ever placed 30 songs on the Hot 100 in a single week. In the past, Drake and Kendrick charted their entire albums but with a far smaller number of tracks.

Including his collaboration “TIMELESS” with The Weeknd, Carti now has 31 songs charting concurrently. This accomplishment solidifies its domination in the market in 2025.

Carti’s disagreement with the official sales figures sparked controversy. Although there was no supporting data, he asserted that actual first-week sales reached 320,000 units.

DJ Akademiks previously suggested sales should have exceeded 300,000 units. Nevertheless, “MUSIC” is currently 2025’s second-best-selling album.

Carti has expressed gratitude toward his fans for their support. Their reward might come sooner than expected with new music on the horizon.

The rapper recently teased his fourth album, “BABY BOI,” on Instagram. He vowed to “CONTINUE DIS LIL RUN” with “ANOTHER CLIP READY” for his fans.

This predicts a shorter time between albums than the lengthy delay preceding “MUSIC.” Fans should anticipate the enthusiasm to continue till 2025.
