Vybz Kartel, the legend of dancehall music, has announced that he is crafting a new song with the hip hop queen, Cardi B.

He mentioned that in his recent interview with Billboard. He claims that both of them are working on the song and it feels exciting.

Vybz Cartela And Cardi B Mutual Admiration

Vybz Kartel has always professed his love for Cardi B and regards her as his ‘all time favorite artist.’

They both regard each other as the Industry’s best and this is not the first time they’ve made such utterances, so to speak.

“I do not play about f**king Vybz Karte l” Cardi B had stated in X spaces “When I see y’all talking about f**king Vybz Kartel, I be getting upset ’cause, like, not too much. Not too f**king much. Mind your f**king business. I do not play about f**king Vybz Kartel, b**ch. At all. At all. I do not, I do not, I do not”

Even though the song is not out yet, Kartel has promised ‘fire’ for the fans. He said while not priding himself over anything but he is sure Cardi B has something special for them.

He mentioned that he would literally walk all the way to New York for the performance if he had to.

Card B’s History On Dancehall

Having seen her other works like ‘Back It Up’ with Konshens and Hoodcelebrityy, to throwing a full dancehall themed birthday party, it is safe to say that Cardi B is no stranger to the genre of dancehall and combining her sound with Kartel’s dancehall roots makes sense.

Ever since he was released from prison last year, Kartel seems to be on a tear. He was incarcerated for 13 years during which he had some serious health issues, but always managed to create music.

He is even nominated for a Grammy in 2025 for his album “Party With Me”. Cardi B is also in the running for an award for her song “Enough (Miami)”.

At the moment, the specifics of the composition remain a secret. Neither the name nor the timing of the release are known. But knowing these two, it’ll be a banger.

Dancehall and hip-hop fusion could emerge in an entirely different way that could potentially disrupt the charts.

Fans are eagerly looking forward to the moment when they can hear what these two have planned for them.
