Jorja Smith – Be Honest ( music video ) feat Burna Boy
Here’s one of the women on Drake’s dream list. Though it may have just been for entertainment, he certainly put her on a pedastal for a while. Anyhow, here’s a new rap video that combines the Afro-UK with one of Africa’s Afro Beat stars. The new Jorja Smith “Be Honest” music video featuring Burna Boy has just dropped this week.
If not familiar, Jorja Smith was the singer on Drake’s hit record “Get it Together.” The two sang in perfect harmony on the swanky UK-sounding track. Ironically, the two were rumored to have a relationship during this period that would later be denied (read here). However, with Jorja’s free flowing personality and Drizzy’s sniper like mentality, do you really think they were totally innocent of ‘relations’ of all sorts?
Burna Boy, if not familiar with him, he’s a superstar coming from the motherland. He has been the buzz in oil-rich country, Nigeria, since 2012. Real name Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, BB’s amassed nearly 500K subscribers on YouTube. His catchy songs however have eclipsed his following, with singles such as “Ye” doing 33-million views. Even bigger, ‘On The Low‘ has passed 50-million views on YouTube. In short, he’s got a sound the world is catching on to fast.
Together, Jorja and Burna have brought their sounds together for one goal. To drop a clutch single, all net and a swish! The new single “Be Honest” has been buzzing online and this follow up visual is very pleasing to the eye. Smith flaunt’s her curvaceous body while Burn Boy comes in with a manly, swank vibe.
Watch the official “Be Honest” music video below. As 11PM, August 18th, the video has nearly 2.3-million views and growing by the hundreds-of-thousands every few hours. Youtube’s stalled updates, keep showing major growth passing.
